There were nights I'd wake up at three in the morning, drenched in sweat, haunted by one thought: what happens to my family if I can't earn?
I'd lie there doing math in the dark. Forty-five minutes later I'd calm down. And here's the thing — the math never changed. Only I did.
What I finally understood is that the panic was never about the money. It was about not having a plan. Fear moves into the space where a plan should be. Every time. An empty spot on the map is where the monsters get drawn.
Law #5: The plan kills the panic. Not the perfect plan. Not the finished plan. Just a plan — because the act of looking straight at the thing shrinks it to its actual size.
Here's the move: pick the one leak that costs you the most sleep. The credit card. The will you haven't written. The break you haven't taken. Give it thirty minutes on the calendar this week. Not to fix it. Just to look straight at it.
The plan kills the panic. It did for me. That's Law #5.
